Yumi Ohta
The world I depict is a coexistence of opposites, such as beauty and poison, adults and children, happiness and hurt, life and death, harmony and the West, and the contrast between light and darkness that arises from these opposites.
The many characters that appear in my paintings are the various qualities that I possess.
My sense of color was influenced by my mother, who worked as a kimono dressmaker, and by the many kimonos I was exposed to as a child.
For me, painting is an act of accepting the reality that unfolds before me, affirming myself, and expressing the voice of my heart to the world.
Yumi Ota
Born in Shiga Prefecture and currently resides in Tokyo.
Graduated from Kyoto Art Junior College, Department of Fashion Design. Received the Encouragement Award for graduation work.
Active in the fields of painting and installation.
She has held solo exhibitions and art fairs in Japan and abroad, created TV studio sets, huge murals, painted cars and buses, created billboards, CD jackets, play flyers, paintings and sculptures used in movies and videos, and taught painting.

Shoichi Tsurukawa
The techniques used in my work are “Dyeing” and “Pen Drawing”.
Both techniques are common to miniature paintings, but I am not obsessed with them, and I concentrate on a single painting because there are too many things I want to draw.
Currently, I mainly work with dyeing. The main reason why I am concerned with dyeing is that I can change the density of colors when I make colored glue, which allows me to express more realistic emotions at the time of creation.
I am always drowning in the colors of emotions.
My mind is easily affected by various emotions in a vivid way, so I am always drowning in the colors of joy, anger, sadness, etc.
I want to paint people. I want to paint the human being, the one that is common to all human beings, with the surface scraped off. I don’t know much about other people, so I just paint the human being, Katsuichi Tsurukawa.
My work is like a piece of rubble where my ideals and life have been shattered by “reality. The debris will never fade away, and will continue to accumulate.

Ikumi Nagasawa
The presence of “something” there that seems to be visible but is not. I want to depict the presence of that something and always savor the moment in any situation, never forgetting hope and humor, and simply be adrift. I depict with love the calm and strangely comfortable rustling feeling of uneasiness and discomfort mixed with the hope that lurks behind it.

Mugi Hamada
She works on the theme of a fictional girl who is a magician, and the people and environment around her. While reflecting her own casual experiences in the motifs of her fictional world, she also pursues painting as material, seeking new ways of being for her created characters. Recently, he has been working with deformed panels.
