リチャード君 Richard kun

Lives and works in Fukuoka Prefecture. Started drawing pictures in his childhood influenced by manga and anime.
In 2018, he started full-fledged illustration and artist activities, focusing on digital works.
Currently, in addition to working on artwork for distribution and music video illustrations for music artists, he has also been creating and exhibiting acrylic paintings since 2023.
In creating his works, he uses vivid colors in various places that do not correspond to reality, challenging himself to express feelings and atmosphere that only painting can do.

いちごもち Ichigomochi
Graduated from Yokohama College of Art (now Yokohama College of Art), majoring in painting.
With the catchphrase “bold and delicate is his specialty,” he draws realistic facial expressions of human figures using the “shaved drawing” technique.
The lines drawn with intuitive strokes have a warm, crafty feel, as if he had sharpened them with a carving knife.
In addition to solo exhibitions in Tokyo, she has participated in the group exhibition “GIRLS WAVE” in Taiwan and Beijing.
He became popular for his illustrations for the music video for the opening theme of TV Tokyo Drama 24’s “Shijukara,” and has designed package illustrations for FOUR STAR’s “Amao Beer” and “Ume no Craft Beer,” as well as collaborated with Hatsune Miku and illustrated and animated Omoinotake’s official lyric video. He has also collaborated with Hatsune Miku and created illustrations and animations for Omoinotake’s Official Lyric Video.

Freelance since 2002.
Began working as an artist in 2020.
He uses cartoon-like techniques to express the motley images of back alleys in the city center that influenced him in his childhood and the ambiguous expressions that people show.

Artist Statement
I want to express something soft and something hard at the same time.
If I go to the trouble, I want to create something that is rarely seen in this world.

Born in Hiroshima in 1989.
Moved to Tokyo in 2008 when he entered university.

Started painting during the Corona Vortex.
Currently, he paints while working as an architectural designer.

2020: Winner of the Special Jury Prize at Red Bull Can Art (GUCCIMAZE, Diesuke Richard)
2023: Collaboration exhibition with Parco Youryomi “Yame Chochin”.
2024: Collaboration exhibition with BEAMS Hiroshima (1st) (2nd)

Currently active in a wide range of activities including advertising illustrations, collaborations with apparel brands, and merchandise design
